One of the oldest eating institutions in La Mirada is the Carriage House. The restaurant has the look of an old Carriage House, hence the name, complete with white columns and all
the trimmings. Two things that stand out about this eatery is the hard-to-find taste of home cooking and the great service. The dinners come complete with choice of salad or soup, entree, choice of potato or rice, breads, and even include a small dessert. These dinners
range from around $5-$8.00 and there are many daily specials as well. Many of the waitresses have been at the Carriage House for several years. They know their
customers and they treat them well, keeping that coffee cup full at all times. There's nothing all that fancy about this place, but it is clean, friendly, and the food is quite tasty-a great place for friends and families to meet for a casual dinner or lunch.
