Book Sale
Scheduled May 22,2004
Friends of La Mirada Library
will hold
their used book sale from 9am to 3pm on the patio in front
of the library at 13800 La Mirada
Blvd, La Mirada. The famous bargain bag
sale where the FOL will have
bargain bags that customers can fill up to the brim for $2.00.All proceeds are used to buy more books and other needs of the library. For more

La Mirada Gadabouts Club. We go on day trips all around the area. Getty
Museum, Long Beach Aquarium, Palm Springs Follies, Lawrence Welk's Descanso Gardens etc. Also trips of several days to Laughlin, Hearst Castle, Reno , Grand Canyon,
etc. Anyone is eligible to come to our meetings and go on the trips. We meet on the 1st and 3rd
Wednesdays of the month in Kling Center at 12900 Bluefield Avenue, La Mirada.
We are looking forward to getting into the new Senior Center now building behind the fire station on La Mirada Blvd.

Used Books Always Wanted!
The Friends of the La Mirada Library are asking the public to
donate used books in good condition. They can be brought to library Located at 13800 La
Mirada Tues., Wed and Thurs. 10am to 8 PM and Friday and Sat noon to 5pm. If pickup is
needed call library at 562-943-0277 to arrange pickup in a three mile radius |

Review Project underway and ongoing
The index and review for all sites found in La Mirada is underway. Its a big
task. I have a huge amount of sites from numerous search engines, and personal
submissions. I've started weeding through them. Thanks to all of you who have been
