WHO IS BOB ULRICH?

My Family[back to Who's Bob]
I've got a wife (Nancy's a camera shy computer artist), two cats (not shy AT ALL) and an extensive network of brothers, sisters and other family, but no children of my own...yet. When I'm not selling real estate I'm frequently hiking the local mountains. Climbing mountains is something that I've enjoyed since my scouting days and I'm glad that I can share it with Nancy. Hiking has taught me that the best rewards go to those who truly work for them and that there are no shortcuts. This is a lesson that I carry with me every day when I work with my real estate clients.

As for me, I'm a long time area resident. I moved here in 1961 when I was knee-high to a grasshopper. I attended La Pluma and Anthony elementary schools, Los Coyotes middle school, Neff high school, Cerritos College, and California State University at Fullerton.

Growing up, I belonged to Boy Scout Troop 424, and became an Eagle scout. I earned both a bachelors and Master's degree from CSU Fullerton, and was an International Vice President for Circle K (the collegiate division of Kiwanis) in college. It was in this capacity, while campaigning at a convention in Pennsylvania, that I met my wife Nancy. A five time honoree in Outstanding Young men of America, I've also been cited by the US Small business Administration for Merit.[back to Who's Bob]

Building Community, One Family At A Time...[back to Who's Bob]

I don't sell houses. I build communities of families. A home is not just a pile of lumber and concrete with one family inside. It's soccer and baseball games, school days and long walks in the park It's sharing your favorite backyard swing with your best friend, and meeting a neighbor at the grocery store.

One of the most gratifying things that I hear after clients move into their new home is not that they love the house (although that happens all the time), but that they love the area. And the neighbors are great! In short, I've not only found them the right house, but they've found themselves a home in the community.[back to Who's Bob]

Integrity and Excellence Are First Priorities[back to Who's Bob]

Above all a Realtor is supposed to honor their fiduciary responsibility. It pains me to report there are a great number who don't. I do. In other words, I must handle your transaction as if it were my own. Therefore, there is no substitute for integrity. And no excuse for not providing excellent service. Further, no reason for not doing the right thing.

If there is a choice between doing the wrong thing and making money, and doing the right thing and losing money I personally pick the right thing every time. I don't only talk the talk, I walk the walk. I'll tell you the truth, even if I'm sure that you won't like it. I'll admit, it has cost me business, (Sometimes the truth hurts, and people would rather be lied to, and end up in a bad situation out of denial, rather than face the truth and make sound decisions based on it.) The truth has been invaluable to those who have accepted the use of my services. Just ask the people who know, my past clients. I've not only included their testimonials, I've included email links to those that have them, so that you can ask them for yourself!

The real estate industry has a lot to answer for. There is a good reason why real estate agents consistently rank as being about as trustworthy as politicians or used car salesmen.

In the midst of one of life's most stressful events they will tell you anything you want to hear, just to get the listing. You then sign away 6% of the value of your home--for what? So they can stick a sign in the ground and plant a flyerbox that is always empty? Then you never see them again except to hear that you've mispriced your home and you have to reduce it...again. When an offer comes in they put their interests above your own. Often they do not encourage you to do the best that you can within your situation, because it's too much work for them.

Prominent real estate sales gurus advocate doing the least possible for clients in order to succeed in home sales. Bunk! I'm living proof that integrity pays, and excellence sells. Just call me at 562-947-8125 and ask me how I succeed in real estate. It won't be by shortchanging you on the service and attention that you deserve! Hard work yields results. [back to Who's Bob]

A Track Record of Success[back to Who's Bob]

Honesty and integrity work. I am ranked in the top 1% of Century 21 Agents nationwide. I outsell 80,000 Century 21 Agents...one home at a time.

I've put together a team of professionals who have proven themselves to me, and most importantly, to my past clients. My wife Nancy and I and our team of assistants are here to help your real estate transaction go smoothly so that you can handle the other tasks involved in relocating. My aim is to have this site be an additional resource that my clients can draw upon. As a long-time member of the community I'm happy to share my extensive knowledge of the area to help you make all phases of your relocation easier.

My assistance is not limited to the La Mirada, Whittier and La Habra areas of southern California. If you are leaving for another area or state I have the resources of the entire Century 21 network to draw upon to help you start your search for another home before you move. If you are moving into the area I will be happy to introduce you to the community and help you find a home that meets your time line and requirements. [back to Who's Bob]

What My Clients Say [back to Who's Bob]

These are just some of my clients comments about my service.

Ron & Pat Sierra
Bob Ulrich is an ethical, honest real estate agent. He handled all the necessary paperwork, kept us constantly informed and updated, and gave us great advice and strategies regarding the sale of our home and the purchase of another. By comparison, the realtor who represented the buyers of our home abandoned them after they signed the initial paperwork! Bob was there for us in our new home the day we moved in, supporting us all the way.

Bob and Nancy worked diligently throughout the entire transaction. They consistantly placed ads for our home and we had potential buyers viewing almost every day due to their publicity efforts.

We feel sincerely fortunate to have had Bob as our agent and would without hesitation recommend him to anyone considering the selling or purchasing of a home.

Brad & Linda Williams
Selling their home: We chose Bob because he has a great reputation for hard work, honesty and thoroughness. We met Bob at an open house on Mayes Avenue in La Mirada. Bob had very good flyers printed up for us. The most helpful thing he did for us was keeping us notified and informed on all aspects of our sale. The attention that he provided us with made us feel special.

Purchase of new home: Bob pointed out potential problems. Also, gave us honest opinions about the condition, pricing and neighborhood value of houses that we were looking at...the seller was a little difficult and Bob handled him well.

Mr & Mrs Roger Brown
All salespeople should look at what Bob does as an example of super service. Every time I called Bob, I got a response within one hour, wow. All paperwork, from start to finish, was explained in detail very clearly. Brochures on sign post were checked and refilled daily. The local open houses all had Bob in them, and shortly after, up went the sold signs.

Georgette Walker
Saw many "For Sale" signs with Bob's name on them. He was referred by a neighbor. He was not pushy and was knowledgeable and personable. Seemed to know the area very well. Bob was on top of the situation at all times. From start to finish he followed through on the closing of escrow. We were aware of all aspects regarding our new home. He was always available.
